Description
Tissot has built its reputation since 1853 on dependable, accessibly engineered timepieces, and the Supersport Chrono 45.5mm carries that sporting lineage in a quartz PowerDrive chronograph with a black dial and stainless steel bracelet.
Case & crystal
The round case is stainless steel, measuring 45.5mm across and 11.92mm thick, and it matches the stainless steel bracelet in material. A sapphire crystal covers the dial, giving a hard, scratch-resistant window over the chronograph layout. A black aluminium tachymeter bezel frames the dial.
Dial
The black dial carries chronograph sub-dials, a date aperture at 6 o'clock and a tachymeter scale for reading speed over a measured distance. Red accents lift the sub-dials against the dark background, while luminescent hands and indexes keep the time legible in low light.
Movement
Inside is the Tissot PowerDrive quartz calibre, driving the chronograph, date and tachymeter functions listed on the dial. Warranty
Supplied with the 2-year international Tissot warranty, valid when purchased from an authorised retailer and registered at purchase through Cassims & Co. The warranty covers manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship; it does not cover normal wear, batteries, straps, glass, or damage from misuse or water ingress through an unscrewed crown.
Our watch service centre in Johannesburg handles warranty work, batteries, bracelet sizing and servicing.
Care guide
- Wipe the stainless steel case and bracelet with a soft, slightly damp cloth after wear to remove sweat and dust.
- Rinse the watch in fresh water after swimming in the sea or a pool, then dry it with a soft cloth.
- Do not operate the chronograph pushers or the crown while the watch is wet or underwater.
- The sapphire crystal resists scratches, but keep the aluminium bezel away from hard knocks and abrasive surfaces.
- Have the quartz movement and the case seals checked by a qualified technician from time to time to maintain the 100m water resistance.
