Description
The Tissot PR516 (reference T1494171105100) is a Swiss Made quartz chronograph with a 40 mm round case, black dial and stainless steel bracelet, and it is a clear example of the sporting lineage behind the PR516 collection within our range of Tissot watches.
Case & crystal
The round case is made of stainless steel and measures 40 mm in diameter and 12.16 mm thick. A stainless steel bezel carries a black tachymeter ring. A sapphire crystal covers the dial and is chosen for its resistance to everyday scratches.
Dial
The black dial holds three chronograph sub-dials, a tachymeter scale and a pulsometer scale, so timing and measuring functions sit within one layout. Luminous hour markers and hands keep the time legible in low light. The dial is marked Swiss Made, one of the Swiss watches we stock from the brand.
Movement
Inside is the G10.212 PowerDrive quartz calibre, paired with chronograph and tachymeter complications. Bracelet & fit

Supplied with the 2-year international Tissot warranty, valid when purchased from an authorised retailer and registered at purchase through Cassims & Co. The warranty covers manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship; it does not cover normal wear, batteries, straps, glass, or damage from misuse or water ingress through an unscrewed crown.
Our watch service centre in Johannesburg handles warranty work, batteries, bracelet sizing and servicing.
Care guide
- Rinse the stainless steel case and bracelet with fresh water after swimming, then dry with a soft cloth; the rating is 100 m.
- Do not press the chronograph push-buttons while the watch is wet or underwater.
- Wipe the sapphire crystal and the black tachymeter ring with a soft, lint-free cloth to remove fingerprints.
- Clean the bracelet links with a soft brush and mild soapy water, then dry thoroughly, taking care around the folding clasp and its safety lock.
- Have the quartz movement checked periodically through a qualified watch servicing and repairs team, and replace the battery at a service point to keep the water resistance intact.
