Description
The Timberland Cherryfield chronograph, reference TDWGC9000801, belongs to the Cherryfield collection within the Timberland watch family and pairs a quartz calibre 2046 movement with a 46mm round case, a blue sunray dial and a leather strap.
Case & crystal
The round case is stainless steel and measures 46mm across by 12mm thick, so the case profile is broad but not tall. A mineral crystal covers the dial. The strap is leather, so case and band are different materials: steel for the head of the watch, leather for the wearing surface against the wrist.
Dial
The blue dial carries a sunray finish, which shifts from light to deep blue as the angle changes. Applied indices mark the hours, with a printed minute track around the edge for reading elapsed seconds and minutes. Gold-tone sub-dials set the chronograph registers against the blue, and the hands are luminous for low-light legibility. A date complication completes the layout.
Movement
Inside is quartz calibre 2046, driving both the date and the chronograph function. A quartz movement keeps time with an electronic oscillator rather than a mechanical balance, so the running of the watch is steady and needs no daily winding.
