Description
Seiko's solar quartz line is represented here by the SNE529P1, a Solar Quartz watch powered by calibre V158, with a 40mm round stainless steel case, a green sunburst dial and a leather strap. It brings together a movement that runs on light and a dial finish that shifts in tone as the angle changes.
Case & crystal
The round case is stainless steel and measures 40mm in diameter. The crystal is sapphire, chosen for its resistance to scratching in daily wear. The steel case is paired with a leather strap, so the metal and the band differ in material and in feel.
Dial
The green dial carries a sunburst finish, with fine radiating texture that catches the light and deepens or lightens as the wrist moves. Applied gold-tone indices stand proud of the surface and mark the hours, while the Solar text sits on the dial as a reminder of what drives the watch. A day-date window at 3 o'clock displays both the day and the date.
Movement
