Description
The Seiko SUR557P1 is a 38.9mm quartz men's watch powered by calibre 6N52, pairing a textured black dial with a stainless steel bracelet.
Case & crystal
The round case is stainless steel, and so is the bezel, so case, bezel and bracelet share one material from the 12 o'clock to the clasp. At 38.9mm across and 8.5mm thick, the case profile stays compact and low. A sapphire crystal covers the dial, giving a hard, scratch-resistant surface over the black dial beneath.
Dial
The black dial carries a textured surface that catches light differently from a flat, matte finish. Baton indices mark the hours, and LumiBrite lume keeps the dial legible in low light. A date aperture completes the layout.
Movement
Inside is Seiko's 6N52 quartz calibre, which drives the date display. Quartz suits a watch that is worn regularly and picked up without any winding or setting routine. It is covered by the 3-year international Seiko warranty.
Bracelet & fit

Supplied with the 3-year international Seiko warranty, valid when purchased from an authorised retailer and registered at purchase through Cassims & Co. The warranty covers manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship; it does not cover normal wear, batteries, straps, glass, or damage from misuse or water ingress through an unscrewed crown.

Care guide
- Wipe the stainless steel case and bracelet with a soft, slightly damp cloth, then dry them to keep the steel clean.
- Keep the crown pushed in before contact with water to maintain the 100m water resistance.
- Rinse the watch in fresh water after swimming in the sea or a chlorinated pool, then dry it thoroughly.
- Avoid knocks against hard surfaces, even though the sapphire crystal is scratch-resistant.
- When the quartz movement slows or stops, have it checked rather than forcing the crown or buttons.
