The SSK023K1 features a red-tipped GMT hand that makes one full rotation every 24 hours, which you read against the fixed 24-hour bezel. A: No. The calibre 4R34 is a fully mechanical automatic movement powered by the motion of your wrist throughout the day. It also features manual winding capability via the crown, allowing you to wind the watch if it has stopped or to top up the power reserve. No battery changes are ever required.

A: To set the GMT hand independently, pull the crown to the first position (one click out). Rotate the crown to move the GMT hand to your desired second timezone on the 24-hour bezel scale. Push the crown back in to the normal position. The main hour and minute hands remain unaffected, continuing to display local time.
