Description
The Rotary Ultra Slim (GS08010/01) is a quartz watch with a 38mm round stainless steel case, a silver guilloché dial and a leather strap on a tang buckle.
Case & crystal
The round case is stainless steel and measures 38mm across, with a case profile only 5.7mm thick. Its leather strap is a different material from the case, so the steel is set against a softer, warmer texture at the lugs. A sapphire crystal covers the dial, giving a hard, scratch-resistant window over the Roman numerals.
Dial
The silver dial carries a guilloché pattern, a fine engine-turned texture that catches light in changing bands. Roman numerals mark the hours, and black hands sit clearly against the pale surface. A date complication completes the layout.
Movement
Inside is a quartz movement, which keeps time with a steady electronic oscillator. It needs no manual winding, and it drives the hands and the date display.
Bracelet & fit

Supplied with the 2-year international Rotary warranty, valid when purchased from an authorised retailer and registered at purchase through Cassims & Co. The warranty covers manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship; it does not cover normal wear, batteries, straps, glass, or damage from misuse or water ingress through an unscrewed crown.
Our watch service centre in Johannesburg handles warranty work, batteries, bracelet sizing and servicing.
Care guide
- Wipe the stainless steel case with a soft, dry microfibre cloth after wear to remove skin oils and fingerprints.
- Keep the leather strap dry. Although the case is water resistant to 50m, moisture can stain and stiffen leather.
- Avoid prolonged sunlight and heat, which can fade and dry out the leather strap.
- Clean the sapphire crystal with a lightly damp cloth, then dry it straight away.
- Have the quartz movement checked periodically, and replace the battery at a qualified service point.
- Store the watch flat or on a cushion, away from knocks and strong magnets.
