Case & crystal
The round stainless steel case measures 36 mm in diameter and 13.5 mm in thickness, fitted with a smooth bezel and a sapphire crystal. The case profile reflects the angular geometry of the Oysterquartz line, distinct from the traditional Datejust silhouette.
Dial
A blue dial carries applied luminous hour markers, ensuring legibility in low light. The date window sits at 3 o'clock beneath a cyclops lens that magnifies the numeral by 2.5 times, a signature Rolex feature introduced in the 1950s.
Movement
Calibre 5035 is a quartz movement developed in-house by Rolex, combining the accuracy of electronic regulation with mechanical finishing. This is a dealer warranty, not a manufacturer warranty: it covers the mechanicals only and excludes cosmetic wear, battery, strap or bracelet, and water damage. Any remaining original manufacturer warranty, where applicable and transferable, applies in addition.
Care guide
- Wipe the stainless steel case and bracelet with a soft, lint-free cloth after each wear to remove perspiration, dust and oils.
- Rinse the watch under lukewarm fresh water after exposure to chlorinated or salt water, then dry thoroughly with a soft cloth.
- Avoid exposing the watch to strong magnetic fields, such as those generated by speakers, mobile phones or magnetic clasps, which may affect quartz accuracy.
- Have the battery replaced by a qualified watchmaker every two to three years; do not allow a depleted battery to remain in the movement, as leakage can damage the calibre.
