Description
The Fossil Scarlette Three-Hand Day-Date (ES5459) is a quartz women's watch with a 34mm round case, a grey sunray dial and a rose gold-tone stainless steel bracelet, finished with a fluted bezel that carries the same tone through case and bracelet alike.
Case & crystal
The round case is rose gold-tone stainless steel, measuring 34mm across and 9mm thick, and the bracelet is cut from the same rose gold-tone stainless steel so the finish matches from bezel to clasp. A fluted rose gold-tone bezel frames the dial and catches the light around its full circumference. The dial is protected by a mineral crystal.
Dial
The grey dial has a sunray finish, which radiates fine brushed lines outward from the centre and shifts in tone as the angle of light changes. Crystal-set hour markers sit around the edge, and rose gold-tone hands sweep over them. A day window at 12 o'clock and a date window at 6 o'clock give the Day-Date complication.
Movement
Inside is a quartz movement, which keeps time by the steady oscillation of a quartz crystal rather than a wound mainspring. It drives the three hands and both calendar windows, and needs no winding.
Bracelet & fit
The rose gold-tone stainless steel bracelet closes with a fold-over clasp with push-button deployment: press the button and the clasp opens, then fold it shut to secure the watch. Supplied with the 2-year international Fossil warranty, valid when purchased from an authorised retailer and registered at purchase through Cassims & Co. The warranty covers manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship; it does not cover normal wear, batteries, straps, glass, or damage from misuse or water ingress through an unscrewed crown.

Care guide
- Wipe the rose gold-tone stainless steel case and bracelet with a soft, dry microfibre cloth after wearing to remove skin oils and fingerprints.
- Use a slightly damp cloth for the fluted bezel and bracelet links, then dry thoroughly so moisture does not linger in the crevices.
- Keep the watch away from harsh abrasives and chemicals such as perfume, hairspray and cleaning products, which can dull a tone finish.
- The 50 metre water resistance suits splashes and handwashing; avoid swimming, showering and hot water.
