Description
The Fossil Scarlette ES5458 is a quartz-powered women's watch with a 34 mm round case, a black dial with crystal hour markers and a two-tone stainless steel bracelet.
Case & crystal
The round case measures 34 mm in diameter and is made of two-tone stainless steel, matching the bracelet it sits on. A fluted, gold-tone bezel frames the dial and gives the case its contrast against the steel. Protecting the dial is a mineral crystal, a conventional glass choice for fashion-led quartz watches.
Dial
The black dial carries crystal hour markers that catch the light against the dark ground. Two apertures handle the calendar: a day window and a date window, giving a Day-Date display that reads at a glance. The fluted gold-tone bezel outlines the dial and ties it to the metalwork of the bracelet.
Movement
Inside is a quartz movement, driven by a battery-regulated oscillator rather than a mainspring. That means steady timekeeping with no winding, and the Day-Date complication is simple to operate. When the battery is exhausted or the watch needs attention, our team handles watch servicing and repairs.
Bracelet & fit
The two-tone stainless steel bracelet continues the case's finish, so the watch reads as one coordinated piece from lugs to clasp. It is a fixed metal bracelet rather than a strap, and sizing is best done in person.

Supplied with the 2-year international Fossil warranty, valid when purchased from an authorised retailer and registered at purchase through Cassims & Co. The warranty covers manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship; it does not cover normal wear, batteries, straps, glass, or damage from misuse or water ingress through an unscrewed crown.
Our watch service centre in Johannesburg handles warranty work, batteries, bracelet sizing and servicing.
Care guide
- Wipe the two-tone stainless steel case and bracelet with a soft, dry microfibre cloth to keep the finish clean.
- Keep the watch away from soaking, swimming and showers; the 50 m rating covers splashes and brief contact with water only.
- Rinse with fresh water and dry thoroughly if the watch is splashed with salt water or chlorinated water.
- Avoid knocks and abrasive surfaces, as a mineral crystal can mark more readily than harder crystal types.
- Have the quartz battery replaced promptly when the watch stops, so a depleted cell does not stay in the case.
