Description
Fossil built its name on vintage-inspired design at an accessible level, and the Pearson FS6197 carries that lineage into a 42mm quartz chronograph-style Day-Date watch with a green sunray dial on a two-tone stainless steel bracelet.
Case & crystal
The round case is two-tone stainless steel, measuring 42mm across and 12mm thick, and the bracelet follows the same two-tone finish. A gold-tone coin-edge bezel frames the dial, its fluted edge catching the light around the case profile. Protecting the dial is a mineral crystal.
Dial
The green dial has a sunray finish, so the colour shifts from deep to bright as the light moves across it. Three subdials display the day, the date and a 24-hour scale, while index markers and gold-tone hands keep the time easy to read. A Japan movement marking sits on the dial.
Movement
Inside is a quartz movement. It drives the hands and the Day-Date complication with the steady accuracy quartz is known for, without the daily winding a mechanical calibre needs.

- Wipe the two-tone stainless steel case and bracelet with a soft, dry microfibre cloth to keep the finish clean.
- Keep the watch away from swimming pools, hot showers and saunas, as the water resistance is rated to 50 metres.
