Description
The Fossil Blue GMT (FS5991) sits in the Blue collection, a line built around blue sunray dials, and pairs a quartz movement with a 46mm round stainless steel case, a blue dial and a stainless steel bracelet.
Case & crystal
The round case is stainless steel and measures 46mm in diameter. The bracelet is also stainless steel, so case and band share the same finish. A unidirectional rotating 24-hour GMT bezel with a blue and black insert frames the dial.
Dial
The blue dial carries a sunray finish that shifts in tone as the light moves across it. Luminous applied indices and luminous Mercedes-style hands keep the time legible in low light, while a minute track chapter ring sits around the edge. A date window at 3 o'clock completes the layout, and a GMT hand with an orange tip stands out against the blue for tracking a second time zone on the 24-hour bezel.
Movement
A quartz movement drives the hands, the date and the GMT function. If you would like the watch maintained over the years, our watch servicing and repairs team can assist. The piece is covered by the manufacturer's warranty: 2-year international Fossil warranty.

Warranty
Supplied with the 2-year international Fossil warranty, valid when purchased from an authorised retailer and registered at purchase through Cassims & Co. The warranty covers manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship; it does not cover normal wear, batteries, straps, glass, or damage from misuse or water ingress through an unscrewed crown.
Our watch service centre in Johannesburg handles warranty work, batteries, bracelet sizing and servicing.
Care guide
- Wipe the stainless steel case and bracelet with a soft, lint-free cloth after wear to remove skin oils and moisture.
- Rinse the watch in fresh water after swimming and dry it thoroughly, keeping within its 100m water resistance rating.
- Clean between the bracelet links with a soft brush and mild soapy water, then rinse and dry.
- Keep the watch away from strong magnets, solvents and harsh chemicals that could affect the finish or movement.
- Have the quartz movement checked by a watch specialist if the hands slow or stop, as the battery will eventually need replacing.
