Casio built the G-SHOCK name on one idea, a watch that shrugs off knocks, and the GA-B010BEG (B010BEG-1A) carries that lineage forward with Solar Quartz power, a 49.3mm round resin case, a grey dial and a resin strap, one of many Casio watches we stock.
Case & crystal
The round case is moulded in resin and measures 49.3mm across by 15.2mm thick, with a bio-based resin bezel framing the dial. The case and strap are both resin, so the watch reads as one continuous, matte-finished piece. A mineral crystal covers the dial.
Dial
The grey dial combines an analog-digital display with a green LCD and a step tracker sub-dial. Neobrite luminous hands and markers keep the time legible in low light, and the hand shift feature moves the hands aside so the LCD can be read clearly. Date, alarm, world time, stopwatch and backlight functions sit alongside the step counter, and Bluetooth is built in.
Movement
Inside is calibre 5736, a Solar Quartz movement with Tough Solar charging, so the watch draws its energy from light rather than relying on routine battery changes. For long-term upkeep, our watch servicing and repairs team can assist.
Bracelet & fit
The resin strap fastens with a buckle clasp, allowing fine adjustment through the strap holes. Resin is light against the skin and unaffected by perspiration, which suits daily wear.

Warranty
Supplied with the 1-year international Casio warranty, valid when purchased from an authorised retailer and registered at purchase through Cassims & Co. The warranty covers manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship; it does not cover normal wear, batteries, straps, glass, or damage from misuse or water ingress through an unscrewed crown.
Our watch service centre in Johannesburg handles warranty work, batteries, bracelet sizing and servicing.
Care guide
- Rinse the resin case and strap with fresh water after swimming, then dry with a soft cloth.
- Give the watch regular exposure to bright light so the Tough Solar cell stays charged.
- Wipe the mineral crystal with a soft, lint-free cloth to remove fingerprints and dust.
- Clean the resin strap with mild soapy water and a soft brush to remove sweat and dirt.
- Have the watch checked through a professional servicing and repairs visit if the display, buttons or seals seem affected.
