Description
This 9ct yellow gold engagement ring is a 1.51ct round lab-grown diamond solitaire, held in a four-claw head with pavé-set diamond shoulders.
The stone
The centre stone is a 1.51ct round lab-grown diamond graded E colour and VS2 clarity, with the grade applying to the centre stone. A round brilliant cut returns light through the table, crown and pavilion, giving the brilliance and scintillation this shape is known for. The shoulders carry lab-grown diamonds totalling 0.24ct, pavé-set along the band. With the centre stone, the total carat weight is 1.75ct. An IGI certificate is listed for this ring.
Setting & band
Four ball-tipped claws grip the round brilliant, keeping the head light so the stone takes centre stage, while an open gallery lets light enter from the side and keeps the head easy to clean. The band is a slim, polished court profile, rounded on the inside for a smooth feel on the finger, and the pavé shoulders add a fine line of sparkle that leads the eye towards the solitaire.
The metal
Both band and claws are 9ct yellow gold, so the setting, shoulders and shank all share one warm tone. The polished finish gives a bright, even surface that complements the colourless centre stone.

Sold as an engagement ring for women, it suits a wearer who prefers a classic solitaire with a little extra detail at the shoulders. The slim court band sits comfortably beside a plain wedding band, and at 1.51ct the centre stone gives good finger coverage. The 1.51ct round lab-grown centre diamond is graded E colour and VS2 clarity.
Both the 1.51ct centre stone and the 0.24ct of shoulder stones are lab-grown diamonds. The ring is listed with an IGI certificate.
The slim, polished court band and four-claw head keep the profile fairly low and clean, which makes pairing with a plain wedding band straightforward. We can also discuss a band made to order.
Soak in warm water with a drop of mild soap, then brush gently with a soft brush around the claws and under the open gallery. Rinse and dry with a lint-free cloth.
Engraving is offered as a service for the inside of the band. Ask our team in store for details.
Warranty
There is no formal manufacturer warranty on jewellery, but Cassims & Co. guarantees its workmanship: if a manufacturing defect or craftsmanship issue appears, we will repair or replace the piece at no charge. Normal wear, accidental damage, lost stones from knocks, and alterations by third parties are not covered.
Professional cleaning, inspection, claw checks and resizing are available at either showroom.
Care guide
- Clean in warm, mildly soapy water and a soft brush, working around the four claws and the open gallery where dust gathers.
- Rinse well and dry with a lint-free cloth to keep the polished 9ct yellow gold bright.
- Remove the ring before gym sessions, gardening, swimming or cleaning with household chemicals.
- Store it separately in a soft pouch so the polished band is not scratched by other jewellery.
- Have the claws and pavé-set shoulders checked periodically so any loosening is caught early.
