Description
This 9ct rose gold engagement ring is a solitaire set with a 1.01ct oval lab-grown diamond, with pavé-set lab-grown diamond shoulders bringing the total carat weight to 1.15ct.
The stone
The centre stone is an oval lab-grown diamond of 1.01ct, graded G colour and VVS2 clarity, and it carries an IGI certificate. The oval outline is set east-west, lying lengthways across the finger, which gives broad finger coverage and shows the table and the long, open facets of the crown to good effect. The G colour and VVS2 clarity grades apply to the centre stone. The pavé-set shoulders carry lab-grown diamonds totalling 0.14ct, a small, even sparkle that supports the centre stone without competing with it. Setting & band
Four round-tipped claws hold the oval in a 4-claw setting. The rounded tips sit smoothly and are less likely to catch on knitwear. The profile is clean and open, so light enters the stone from the sides as well as from above. The band is slim, and the shoulders are claw-set in a petal pavé style, with the small diamonds held in fine beads of metal. The finish is polished throughout.
The metal
The ring is crafted in 9ct rose gold, which has a warm, coppery tone that sits softly against the white of the diamonds. The claws, shoulders and band are all the same rose gold, so the colour runs evenly through the piece.

As an engagement ring, it is for a woman who wants a solitaire with a little more detail at the shoulders. The slim band keeps the ring light on the hand, while the east-west oval reads long and graceful. A plain wedding band can sit beside it for stacking, though the claw-set shoulders are worth checking against the band you have in mind.

Warranty
There is no formal manufacturer warranty on jewellery, but Cassims & Co. guarantees its workmanship: if a manufacturing defect or craftsmanship issue appears, we will repair or replace the piece at no charge. Normal wear, accidental damage, lost stones from knocks, and alterations by third parties are not covered.
Professional cleaning, inspection, claw checks and resizing are available at either showroom.
Care guide
- Clean with warm water, a drop of mild soap and a soft brush, paying attention to the underside of the oval where dirt collects.
- Rinse well and dry with a lint-free cloth to keep the polished rose gold finish bright.
- Remove the ring before gym sessions, gardening or cleaning, as knocks and chemicals can affect the claws and the pavé settings.
- Check the four claws and the pavé shoulders from time to time, and bring the ring in if any bead or claw feels loose or catches.
- Store the ring separately in a soft pouch so it does not scratch other jewellery.
