Description
This 9ct yellow gold engagement ring is a trilogy set with 1.78ct total weight of lab-grown diamond, a round brilliant centre flanked by two pear-shaped side stones.
The stone
The round brilliant centre stone is graded G colour and VVS2 clarity, and the ring carries an IGI certificate. Its table and crown are open to the light from above, and the open gallery lets you see the pavilion from the side, which helps brilliance and fire read clearly on the hand. Flanking it are two pear-shaped side stones totalling 0.27ct, also lab-grown diamond, set point-outward so the trilogy reads as a balanced line. Setting & band
The centre sits in a 4-claw setting, each claw finished with a small ball tip that keeps the profile smooth against clothing and skin. Each pear is secured by its own small ball claw, so all three stones are held individually. The shoulders are plain and the slim shank tapers gently, with a polished court profile that is rounded on the inside for a comfortable feel through the day.
The metal
The whole ring, from claws to band, is 9ct yellow gold with a polished finish. Because the setting and band are the same metal, the claws blend into the shank rather than contrasting with it, and the warm tone gives the white lab-grown diamonds a clean backdrop.
Who it suits
As an engagement ring in a classic trilogy layout, it suits a wearer who likes a recognisable, traditional arrangement with a slim band. The plain shoulders leave room for a matching wedding band to sit beside it for stacking. You can also have a personal message added through our engraving service, and a valuation certificate can be arranged separately for insurance purposes. Warranty
There is no formal manufacturer warranty on jewellery, but Cassims & Co. guarantees its workmanship: if a manufacturing defect or craftsmanship issue appears, we will repair or replace the piece at no charge. Normal wear, accidental damage, lost stones from knocks, and alterations by third parties are not covered.
Professional cleaning, inspection, claw checks and resizing are available at either showroom.
Care guide
- Clean with lukewarm water, a drop of mild soap and a soft brush, paying attention to the underside of the stones.
- Dry with a soft lint-free cloth to keep the polished 9ct yellow gold bright.
- Remove the ring before gardening, cleaning with chemicals, swimming or heavy lifting to protect the claws and band.
- Have the four centre claws and the small ball claws on the pear stones checked periodically to make sure each stone stays secure.
- Store it separately in a soft pouch so the polished finish is not scratched by other pieces.
