Description
This 9ct yellow gold engagement ring is a solitaire set with a 1.03ct marquise lab-grown diamond, held in a 6-claw head and finished with pavé-set shoulders.
The stone
The centre stone is a 1.03ct marquise-cut lab-grown diamond, graded G colour and VS1 clarity, and accompanied by an IGI certificate. The elongated outline with pointed ends gives generous finger coverage for its carat weight, and the long table shows off the brilliance and scintillation of the crown. Along the shoulders, fine claw-set lab-grown diamonds add a further 0.14ct, bringing the total carat weight to 1.17ct. Setting & band
Six round-tipped claws grip the marquise, with a protective claw at each pointed end, while an open gallery under the classic raised head lets light enter from the sides and keeps the underside easy to clean. The slim tapered band has a polished finish and carries the pavé-set shoulders, which narrow gracefully toward the back of the finger.
The metal
The ring is made in 9ct yellow gold throughout, including the claws and the band. The warm tone sets off the stone, and the polished surface catches the light along the shoulders.

Designed as a women's engagement ring, it suits a wearer who likes a classic solitaire with a distinctive stone shape. The slim band and raised head leave room beside a plain wedding band, so the two can sit together on the hand, with the marquise lengthening the line of the finger. Warranty
There is no formal manufacturer warranty on jewellery, but Cassims & Co. guarantees its workmanship: if a manufacturing defect or craftsmanship issue appears, we will repair or replace the piece at no charge. Normal wear, accidental damage, lost stones from knocks, and alterations by third parties are not covered.
Professional cleaning, inspection, claw checks and resizing are available at either showroom.
Care guide
- Clean with warm water, a drop of mild soap and a soft brush, paying attention to the open gallery beneath the stone.
- Rinse well and dry with a soft, lint-free cloth to keep the polished 9ct yellow gold bright.
- Remove the ring before heavy work, sport or gym sessions, as a knock to the pointed ends of the marquise can loosen a claw.
- Keep it away from chlorine and household bleach, and put it on after applying perfume or hand cream.
- Store it separately in a soft pouch so the polished surface and shoulders are not scratched by other pieces.
- Bring the ring in for a claw check from time to time so the six claws remain secure.
